NOTES:
From an E-mail from Tom Kramer dated Jan 18, 2006:
Mom's mother was Anna Groseclose Brittain who lived in the Humptulips, WA area. After Dad passed away (I was 6), I spent time with she and Grandpa Fred Brittain at a remote house near Humptulips. Grandpa was a bee keeper, and had about 500 hives of bees. Spent numerous summers there with them. Helped in spotting bears at night with a flashlight so Grandpa could shoot them when they raided the bee yard. Very primitive place; no running water -well was 1/4 mile up a hill with a rope and bucket - no electricity etc. Old logging camp cook house owned by the logging company. Lots of stories. Tom K.
